Amen and amen. It amazes me that community leaders were complaining about people coming out of school not knowing how to do basic functional skills for the work place and society because the schools were teaching to the end of the year test...in the mid 1800's. (Look up Colonel Francis Parker.)
My interest in science began as a child, but other patterns of interest began early in my life, as well. These include photography, Eastern philosophies (particularly Buddhism), art, music (although I am personally musically-challenged), people, and, basically, the relationships or connections among everything. Although my "story" is not particularly important, the shared experiences we have as human beings and as living beings on this planet is the primary focus on my attempts on the Blog.
